In this first tutorial we discussed our initial experiments, the concerns of this project and how we can move forward.

One thing we discussed was the layout of the digital canvas as a common theme we saw was the use of space. Some people didn't know how how big or small to draw as there was no guide. Perhaps next time we could include a layout, maybe like a comic book where people have their own sections. Just to add some structure to the pieces and give participants some direction. However with this idea it will limit people from interacting, which is not what we want as a group. We want to encourage interaction and actual collaboration in our final piece so this idea is not something we will move forward with.

Another thing we discussed was how we had a lack of participants, which ended up making the experiments look quite bare. A way to combat this could be just to have two participants working on a canvas together. Perhaps collecting people then putting them in pairs where they can interact and collaborate and potentially befriend each other. Having two people on one canvas will perhaps remove the fear of people judging your art work which some participants may feel. It also allows them more space on the canvas to do whatever they want.
